Buck (1997 –
2000) was a brief, shining light on the L.A. pop-punk scene,
releasing two albums (Buck, SFTRI , 1998; Buck In Black, Lance Rock, 1999) and hitting
the road for a couple of national tours. Formed by Lisa
G. (drums, vocals), Lisa Marr (vocals, bass) and Dr. Rob
Kozak (guitar, keyboards) in Vancouver, the Lisas relocated
to Los Angeles and were joined briefly by Stew of The Negro
Problem (guitar) and then Pepper Berry (guitar, vocals).
After Lisa G. returned to the homeland, drummer duties were
handled by Sherri Solinger (the Murmurs, Longstocking),
Brandon Jay (Ludefisk, the Bamboozled, the 88), Slim Evans
(Rank & File, El Vez) and Corky Pigeon (The Gain).
