A Note on the Lyrics

Although most of the songs included here are ones I’ve written all the lyrics for, I'd like to point out a few notable exceptions...
My Chinchilla, a cub "instant classic", was born out of David Carswell’s brilliant line “Satan sucks, but you’re the best!” You might know Dave from his guitar wizardry in The Evaporators and The Smugglers or as part of the legendary JC/DC production team but the man is a damn fine songwriter too!
She’s In Another World, from the self-titled Buck LP, features a chorus penned by Joe Queer way back in the days when we used to mail cassette tapes filled with pop snippets back and forth between New Hampshire and Vancouver. Another song that came out of that collaboration is one of my all-time favorites, “I Can’t Get Over You”, which appears on The Queers album Don’t Back Down.
Mike Flanagan is a bona fide musical genius and the hardest-working man in show business! You can catch him dazzling the masses most any night of the week with one of his plethora of projects, which include Breech, Nelly Bly, Paddy’s Pig, Heliotrope and, of course, the mighty LMX. Whenever I get bogged down in the writing process, Mike inevitably (and seemingly effortlessly!) comes up with something amazing and saves the song from the dumper.  We co-wrote lyrics for Two Songs, Niagara, Niagara, Unemployment Line, The Return of Donna Lee, Do You Really Wanna Know? and Green Lights.
I'd also like to extend credit and heartfelt thanks to all my dear band mates over the years for providing the collaborative forum for ongoing creativity and for generously contributing their immense and unique musical gifts in making these songs evolve so magically from their humble beginnings!
